A little help
for the journey.
Questions about a trip, an alert, or getting started? You’re in the right place.
Good to know
How do I start a trip?
Choose your destination, select your route, and choose how early you want an alert. Review the boarding stop, exit stop, and any transfers, then tap Start Napt. Allow alarm and location permissions when asked.
I’m already on the train. Can I still use NapT?
Yes. After choosing your destination, select Already on the train? Enter your boarding station and approximately how many minutes ago you boarded. Match the line, direction, and departure time to your actual train before starting.
Why is the countdown different from my actual trip?
The countdown uses scheduled times, not live transit-delay predictions. A bus or train can arrive earlier or later than the schedule. When an accurate location is available, NapT can trigger an earlier approach alert for an exit or transfer.
What happens underground or without a signal?
Previously scheduled system alarms can ring without internet. GPS may be unavailable underground, so location-based approach alerts may not work. Plan and start your trip while you have a connection. NapT does not currently guarantee a warning a specific number of stops before your exit.
Will the alarm play through my headphones?
NapT uses the iPhone’s system alarm. It may sound through the phone speaker even with headphones connected. Test your particular iPhone and headphones using View journey → Test alarm before relying on them for a trip.
My location says “Waiting for signal.” What should I do?
In iPhone Settings, check that NapT has Always location access and Precise Location enabled. Buildings and tunnels can reduce GPS accuracy. Scheduled times remain estimates; do not assume NapT knows the train’s exact position when a signal is missing.
How do I stop a trip or cancel its alarms?
Open NapT and tap Stop Napt. If an alarm is currently ringing, dismiss it using the system alarm controls too. If NapT reports that it could not end the trip, try again so it can cancel its remaining scheduled alerts.
What iPhone software does NapT require?
NapT’s system alarms require iOS 26 or later and permission to schedule alarms. Your phone’s location and alarm settings can affect trip alerts.
